Rating: 4 stars out of 5 for lightweight design and impressive power
The Poulan 810EPT Electric Pruning Chainsaw was built with an 8” long blade and a powerful 9 AMP electric motor; this chainsaw can easily handle light to moderate pruning yard work.
Pros
Users are extremely impressed with the extremely light feel. Pruning high branches is significantly less strenuous with the light 8 lb. – 10 lb. frame. Users have also reported the Poulan 810EPT being capable of cutting through branches as thick as 6” with a relatively low amount of effort and exertion. Users report the pruning chain remains tight and rarely requires tedious tightening adjustments. Finally, many users have found the ability of this pruning chainsaw to convert into a hedger, trimmer, and blower extremely useful. Attachments are available at fair prices, check Amazon for prices and shipping.
Cons
Short. The Poulan 810EPT is extremely light due to its short frame. If you’re considering purchasing the Poulan Electric Pruner consider how tall your trees are and if you’re in proper physical condition to allow use of a ladder when pruning your trees.
Final Analysis
The Poulan 810EPT is an excellent choice for the do-it yourselfer. Coming in at just under $115 it’s cheap and delivers users a large degree of power reducing physical exertion. The only real con is the short 12’ operating height than may hinder some users. So long as you don’t plan on cutting down Yosemite National Park, this Electric Pruner by Poulan should more than suffice for most pruning tasks. The Consumer Sensei feels comfortable awarding 810EPT 4 Stars out of 5 due to an excellent track record and a solid all-around electric pruning chainsaw.
